I don't think I've ever gone over $200 personally in one place, but I'd say about $400-$500 in a night is my highest.
I'm no OT baller though.
I've seen my parents pay for a group of people and get in the $2,000 range

I used to entertain a bunch, and at a convention or big get together, you can have a high tab. Itwasn't uncommon to have 2k in a night, but usually it was like...500 from 5-7, 500 at a restaurant with pre dinner drinking, then 1000 after dinner just partying. But you can start with 10 folks on your tab, then the more customers show up...you cant say you wont put them on your tab, so it just grows.

When I lived in NYC, I met a kid from Krgyzstan whose father had made a killing by importing luxury vehicles into Russia and the former Soviet Republics following the fall of the USSR. He went from living in a house with no running water to being educated in England at the same schools as the Dukes and whathaveyous.
When I met him he was living at 55 Wall St. and used to love going out to all the cheesy bars in the Meatpacking District like 1OAK, Tenjune, etc. I've seen the kid drop $40k on single bottles of Moët White Gold, not to drink, but to just splash all over everyone. I've seen tabs easily exceed $200k in one night.

My buddies and I have a Christmas party every year at Sullivans. It is open bar and the tab runs around 15k-18k. We tip very well because they make sure all the talent is handling the event.

I used to travel a lot for work. Me and a co-worker charged a weeks worth of drinking in the hotel lounge to our supervisors room. We checked out a day before him and left without him knowing until he checked out

Work seminar out of town I saw about a 4K tab, not sure on the tip
