Have you been to the lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans?

And then you realize the photos show exactly what Bernie Sanders wants the U.S. to become....

One of these days, libs will understand......America feeds the world. Sure, other countries grow food but not at the volume that we do. Back during the Cold War 70's the MSM loved to play up the "danger" of a nuclear war. My old man would just kinda chuckle and say.....the Reds aren't going to nuke us, if they do they starve themselves to death.

Other countries still do not have the technology, the experience and the acreage that America does when it comes to growing food.

I go to the lower ninth weekly for work. It's nothing like North Korea and to suggest that is ridiculous.

The photos are horrible. Not to say they did or didn't have it coming, but we played a large role in where NK is today. We basically bombed them to oblivion. We killed an estimated one million people in the war, 60% civilians. After we annihilated all their major cities, we blew up their bridges and dams and flooded/burned their food supplies. War is war, but this is not the ideology, to keep a poor nation, this is what they ended up with after we came to defend the South. My point is, you can imagine why they are mad. We look at it like, bro that's a long time ago, get over it. That's not so much how they look at it.

My point was that people in the 9th ward don't have simply "trivial" problems, even if they are of their own making. I've also seen far worse living conditions there than shown in the pictures from the OP. There are blocks down there that are complete shithole.

Can't believe they allow a Mickey Mouse mouse pad

Maybe they think you have to have a mouse on it

This morning I was in line at the grocery store behind a 9th Ward style citizen of our great country. Talking on her free cell phone, headed back to her nearly free rental house, paying cash for some cigarettes, and using her govt issued food stamps to purchase sugar filled junk food for her three kids by three different absentee fathers.

She lives a standard of life that is on par with, or maybe even above, that of NK elites.

Theres nothing wrong with kids working in the field. My grandmother is 82. She and all her 11 brothers and sisters worked on our family farm to provide cor themselves

Nobody criticizing NK is criticizing the families for doing what they have to to survive.

But a government that willingly chooses to subject its citizens to abject poverty deserves all the criticism in the world.

hotograph every single visitor on the South Korean side. So if you've visited, you're likely a photo plastered in some binder in a North Korean army office. Like you said it's fascinating stuff

But are you in Coach Orgeron's Binder?

The criticism comes from saying that these senareos are bad so lets condem the country. I have a problem with the subject matter.

ou going as military or a civilian? The civilians got to check out the tunnels. Would have liked to see those. The village itself is still cool, though.

I'm civilian, but my friend I'm going with is in the military. Is it pretty cool to see?

Good post. You could at least link the imgur link that's been posted on Reddit a 100 times, though

You wouldn't need to bomb North Korea. Just threaten to air drop food and the army would lay down their arms and surrender immediately !

OK that travel guide to North Korea is crazy but it doesn't finish the entire story.. Is that just a portion of the documentary?
