After visiting The Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington D.C. it pains me to wonder why someone would spend their life in prison for stealing something made out of thin air.

At least Gold can me melted down. What a terrible reason to lose your freedom.

For a year now, I've been wondering why he felt the need to leap at/kick the door on the way out.

It's too bad that door wasn't locked.

Because it has purchasing power.

You can criticize fiat money from central banks for a variety of reasons, but for a bank robber to not be able to use it is not one of them.

Because bank robbers are prosecuted by the feds and get laughable sentences compared to street armed robberies prosecuted by the state.

This is a thought exercise.

It's like a poem.

It artistic quality.

It's not meant to be entirely literal.

It has the power to momentarily make someone who's open to the influence of art think things.

You are wondering why a guy did that after he walked into a facility with cameras without a mask, bumfricked the whole operation and left?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he doesn’t think clearly.

There was a bank robbery in Missouri in the 80’s where they tied blocks to the guy and threw him in the Mississippi River alive

Would've been great if that door was locked.

You think federal crimes get laughabale sentences compared to state crimes? I have read a lot of things on the internet, but this is definitely a first.

You spend your life working a job for "something made out of thin air". What's the difference?
