I am not really sure what is going on recently with these high-roller donors to universities. They seem to be far exceeding the limits of influence they should be able to have on a public university.

I didnt read the whole thread, only the first page, but someone mentioned Lod Cook, and that’s probably a good guess.. then again, like you said, a lot’s prob changed in the last 7 yrs.

Dude, if you don't know a woman you would never think had an abortion you're just not in an inner circle. It's incredibly prevalent regardless of crazy politics.

It's entirely possible to know multiple women who have had them, including close family and friends, and have compassion and sympathy for them and still think it's an evil institution that should be illegal. They aren't incongruous concepts.

It certainly is if those same 44 year olds are staunchly against their own 19 year old self

Or... if you're a guy who didn't prevent it then but deny it now.

Is an egg a chicken? Maybe people believe other things than you. Chiefly we shouldn't tell others what they can do to their own body.

If men got pregnant no way we would ban abortion.

Who cares. We treat chickens horribly. The eggs are spared.

I have 4 soft scrambled and a bagel with smoked salmon sitting in front of me as I type. These were aborted retarded eggs but man they are good.

Well then we shouldn't have universal healthcare or government health care at all. Because that is EXACTLY what universal/ government subsidized health care is. The government has a very strong push on what health care is needed.

What about shots for school? Shouldn't be mandated either? Health care check ups?

I don't disagree with you entirely, but its by no means that easy to say the government shouldn't tell you what to do with your body.

Don't they usually donate the money with a fairly clear plan of what it will be used for and what they will get in return? I'm assuming this guy not only wanted that, but was requesting more basically?

I'm on your side of the debate, and this is just an awful argument. It's not like people are eating fertilized eggs.

So no can change their opinion and think they made a wrong decision after 25 years? Or do they have to wallow in it and advertise their mistakes to satisfy you?
