The funny thing about intense travel ball parents is that their kids frequently don’t play beyond grade school.
Either the kids get burned out, or their parents’ money and private lessons can only take them so far.

You really want to see a dumpster fire go to the GSSA tournaments on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. That’s where you will see biggest money grab there is around

I hate travel ball, but I’m in the minority. Poor kids with talent never get developed and move to other sports that don’t require a rich parent. And yes I know some teams will sponsor a poor kid, but it’s not enough and you cannot tell which kid will develop at young ages.

Beyond my better judgement, we went to Gulf Shores for a USSSA so-called World Series tournament back in 2016. That might have been the most miserable week of my life. None of these parents truly stood out and we couldn’t determine which states had the trashiest baseball parents between some of the Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, or Texas teams. Five years later my wife still senses that I am pissed for letting her talk me into not skipping that POS money grab event.
