It's Conor. Only close second and third are Anderson Silva and Fedor.

Conor time away has people forgetting how unstoppable he is within the octagon

Unstoppable? One can easily argue that he lost to Diaz twice. He has benefited greatly from a weak LW division.

Rickson Gracie would win a weightclass championship even in today's UFC, but he would not be the irresistible force he was in the Vale Tudo Japan days.

His jiu jitsu is just too good, and his opponent would have to knock him out on his feet. If Rickson gets you to the mat he isn't going to lose.

Something tells me the above was typed by a person who attends a Gracie gym.

Well to some degree any BJJ gym is a Gracie gym, but in my 20+ years of practicing, I have never been to a Rickson affiliated gym or to a Rickson seminar.

I do recognize he is the greatest living practitioner of jiu jitsu, and in his day was an elite MMA fighter. I have no doubt that in his prime could win the championship in whatever weightclass he competed in.

Rickson is world class and still does seminars. I am under Gracie Humaita in Houston which is technically under the original school that Helio started in Brazil that pretty well now is ran by Royler. Rickson has his own school or did in LA but his son Kron has his own brand now and is running with it. Kron is a beast. Maybe better than his dad on the mat. Rickson also has Pedro Sauer under him and he is world class in his own right along with several legit Black Belts under him like Keith Owen. Royce also has his own sub-set of schools under him but by and large, if you are under any Gracie brother than you are welcome at any of those schools. In fact, I just moved back home to Monroe, LA and Kron has a satellite school in West Monroe that I will probably join.

You are generally correct about most BJJ schools being at least a Gracie influenced establishment since they pioneered jits but Gracie Barra is a totally different operation than us and then you have the Machados that have their own style plus all the Brazilians that have migrated here that are not associated with any of them and finally the Anerican guys that created their own style of jits as a blend of all of it.

He lost to a baked Diaz maybe twice. I don't think so.

And Conor’s lack of wrestling got exposed by a guy who took the fight on short notice and clearly wasn’t in ring shape.

Ask the 155 lb guy that Conor dismantled that's a wrestler if he is still easy to take down.

C'mon dude. He gased the first fight which he was dominating standing up (100% his fault, not an excuse), and easily won 3-4 rounds on the second fight. Conor is a prick, but I'm not going to lie about his in ring talent.
