You should probably talk to the retard who claimed otherwise.

So far in this thread I have gathered that people who like vapid music get really angry and personal when no one else likes it..

I haven't been following the cat fight the two of you are having. I was just saying that maybe the white guy demo probably doesn't know who Mr. Bunny is. But fandom comes from all over the world, not just Bawville. Personally, I know the song K-Pop with Travis Scott and The Weeknd. I checked out some of his stuff months ago, most was not to my liking.

Im not moving anything. I literally went and asked that age demo and thats the response I got. Those that said they dont want SNL also said they stream everything.

Do with that info what you want.

Oh, I agree. My argument is this is a pandering to a specific market, Latin America... and it isnt going to do much to bring in football fans.

But HOT RIGHT NOW. That's the point. He's hot right now. Like Kendrick was last year. That's why they picked him. He's hot now. Most of us WANT people who were hot years ago. I would have much preferred Metallica or Peal Jam. But I'm also middle aged and out of touch.

Maybe Metallica. PJ is waning

The Who was a disaster. I'm not picking on the genre.

Elvis was insanely popular. Bad Bunny is a fad.

I'm a 65-year-old white man living in Oklahoma. I knew nothing about Bad Bunny until a couple of days ago other than I have heard his name and knew he was an entertainer. I figured he was Pitbull 2.0, but don't know a whole lot about Pitbull either.

Anyway, if it is true that he is the 2nd most streamed artist besides Taylor Swift, then I understand why he was chosen.

I have not watched the Super Bowl halftime show in so long that I cannot remember. I've watched very few of them. That is when I take a bathroom break, get more refreshments, and mingle with the other people who I'm watching the game with.

But the NFL is not marketing themselves to people like me. I'm already locked in. I watch a game or two each weekend and participate in a fantasy league. I keep track of all the results. When the playoff begins, I watch all the games. I don't give a shite about halftime shows.

The future of the NFL has no dependency on people like me. They are attempting to reach out to demographics who are not weekly NFL watchers, and to international markets. The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the hooks that they use.

You don't have to be a marketing genius to understand that.

I suppose the entertainment won’t please everyone all of the time. Just seems years ago it was better.

If they want to expand their base through pop music, American women are your best demo, not Latin American countries.

Brother, a large share of the nfl fanbase is hispanic Americans that know and listen to bad bunny. Not to mention the fastest growing demographic in the country.

Depends on how large a share, but youre making a great point, they are already fans and dont need to be pandered to...

He's so insanely popular that even someone in your demographic had heard of him.

The real tragedy in all of this is that multi-billion dollar corporations can't ALL have you as their senior adviser. So much wit and wisdom, yet you can only be in so many places at once.

You mentioned TWICE they don't even HAVE CABLE. To that i point out two facts. One SNL is on broadcast not cable. You don't need to pay a cent to get it. Two most in that she group watch on Youtube.
. 100% people that age know Tiktok and viral trends. To that end everyone you polled would instantly know this skit.

Then why are you crying because they aren’t pandering to you? The dude is one of the biggest artists in the world.

Doesn't mean they'd know it's from SNL though

I'm discussing. You're crying because I don't know who some pop artist is

I wouldn't call it pandering to have a top five most popular artist in the world play the Super Bowl. Who is being pandered to, his millions of fans? Who will all turn on the Super Bowl to watch the halftime show. How dare the NFL generate more viewers with Bad Bunny's worldwide fan base? Get Foghat on the line, now!

TayTay isn't paying anyone for the opportunity to perform Adele would be an even stranger choice than Bad Bunny. I don't think she has enough songs that are the right style for an NFL audience.
