Regardless, she is still being eaten alive. The pitchforks have been out for weeks due to her saying nothing on ICE issues.

Sydney is full fledge despised by them for simply saying she has no interest in sharing her political opinions with the world. Point being: He's right that artists will be hesitant to attach themselves to anything that might be right wing because they know they'll be crucified on a constant basis by the left.

Thinking about it, Drake is kind of the ideal candidate for what the nfl was trying to do. Massive global star who flirts with other languages/dialects and looks racially ambiguous. But the media sided with Kendrick Lamar so that will never happen.

Fun fact - drake has 13 #1 hits and 217 top 40 hits

but certainly conservatives must concede that we look ridiculous sharing serious articles from websites like that.

The weird thing is if you point out how silly/bad/dishonest they are, they often respond with the "why are you defending [the worst possible interpretation of the counter to the dishonest content]?!?!?"

Same with this Kid Rock/bro country train they seem to be dead set on clinging to. It's cringe at best, and the level headed conservatives who see that should be laughing at how absurd it is and calling out the weirdos who are worshipping it.

Unless you're a legitimate Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert fan, I guess.

Last night some guy got roasted for making a joke referencing a Kid Rock lyric (all my heroes in the methadone clinic) b/c the huge Kid Rock fans don't know one of the more iconic lyrics from his biggest song (that he performed last night, no less)

Their views are already well known to most, but they don't make them part of their shows as far as I can recall.

I think the vast majority of people understand that most entertainers lean left, we just don't want to hear about it when they are performing

Well yea, you can never do enough to satiate the radical left. But she still has been very political recently.

I'll give you this one, although I don't follow her enough to know what she puts out there besides boobs

Everything is pop now. Even country.

Bro country has adopted the worst of country, pop, and even rap these days. How it's remained such an engrained part of the conservative cultural experience is beyond me.

That's why I had to comment BB's show was much more baw than the TPUSA show. At that moment they had just gone from baws working the fields to a pickup truck and TPUSA had I think Brantley Gilbert in forward fashion

I think the language barrier ended up being the biggest deal. I think there is a decent probability that non political people or even left leaning people were turned off by it bc they couldn’t understand what was being conveyed.

This! Had my Chinese buddy and his wife over and they thought it was stupid. His wife was bitching about no closed captions.

I know shitting on Drake has been a meme for years, and for all I know he might be a whiny turd. I don't really know anything about his personal life.

But this is exactly my feelings about his music. Everyone loved Drake at one time, even if they joked on him. When Nice for What came out, the entire bar would erupt when it came on. People learned every word to that one.

He would actually be a really solid Super Bowl choice, but that will never happen after Kendrick's display.

especially considering about 80% of the people who were put out by an American Citizen performing at the Super Bowl still have a land line in their house....they ain't overly technologically savvy....they fall for Facebook AI several times a day and are convinced any number of boogey men are apt to get them any moment.....

you’re describing your own peers.

He's still the most streamed hip-hop artist. Don't let the Internet fool you. And I don't think he has ever muttered a political viewpoint.

Nobody ever expected a half time alternative to get more views than the actual Super Bowl halftime show. That was never even the metric

The Super Bowl halftime show could just be a close up shot of a fresh dog turd and it’d get 100M views simply bc most people aren’t changing the channel.

agreed. We got Kendrick’s SB Halftime. I liked it and understood it because I like Kendrick’s music. Would be epic now to follow that up with Drake. Drake given a full year to produce a SB halftime clapback at Kendrick would be diabolical.
