you, with no information, making accident fault assumptions. i would have thought that was pretty fricking obvious.

Occam’s razor says most car accidents are caused by distracted drivers.

Most distracted drivers are distracted by their cellphones.

I fail to see how saying the driver was probably on their cellphone is wrong.

Suck on my nuts, boy.

That school doesn't have crossing guards?

Very few kids walk to school anymore in New Orleans. They are either bussed all over town to equally crappy public schools or car pooled/driven to private and parochial schools. A neighborhood school hardly exists and kids walking to school almost non-existent.

So this means that schools don't need crossing guards? Plenty of them still do around uptown

Not at that school there are a lot of kids who live in the area who walk to school. It is one of the wealthiest schools in New Orleans and it is in an area of uptown where kids can safely walk.

I do, I get stuck in traffic around their daily and I see 19 school busses at Mc Main, 300 cars at Newman, 400 cars at Ursuline, Tulane doesn't count but I'll admit Lusher/Fortier does have some walkers.

There are a million schools and daycares that people walk to every day in that area. Many live across Napoleon and there is a crossing guard. But they also have to navigate the worst drivers in this country.

ETA: and avoid drunk drivers leaving 24 hour bars nearby. You'll see plenty of DWI arrests going to work.

That is what I primarily see at Ursuline Academy and Holy Name of Jesus. I assume it's either parents that live in the area or who don't want to go through the drop off lane

Newman has a shite load of walkers, so does both Lusher campuses, as well as Scared Heart, McGehee, Holy Name.....both Loyola and Tulane are right in the Middle....

Plenty of kids still walk to school in New Orleans...maybe you should get off your phone and pay attention when you're driving around these areas.

I used to see walkers at Sacred Heart often.

ETA: and De La Salle.
