So these people are setting up on the beach area below the high tide line that is actually public property and they’re allowed to do so? But doing it in a manner just mess to with him? Or, they’re setting up above that line and getting into arguments over the access to that portion of the beach?

Above. They are setting up on private property. They don’t do it just to him, he is just the only one who happens to be high profile.

Why the heck would you buy a house on one of the most popular stretches of beach in the world for “privacy?” Nah. He’s fighting for attention and relevancy.
Do you think his neighbors are fighting this for attention and relevancy?

That Señorita just wanted to be sippin' margaritas on the beach.

Let me clarify. The goons are harassing people on public property. These property owners do not own the whole beach.
If you are referring to the public beach below the high tide line, then possibly. The problem is, these people who are the equivalent to blue haired protestors with no jobs are setting up well above the line on purpose. There is no marking of where the mean high tide line is so there is an argument every time they show up. If they would set up very close to wet sand, there would be no issue and the homeowners would not have to have anyone there enforcing the law.

They are. In fact they pay for some of the private security that tries to enforce the rules.
He is just being targeted because the protestors know it will bring them attention.

All of them? I’ve seen some of those videos on shoredefender, and that drill guy has been harassing people on the public property portion of the beach.

I think much of this stems from both sides’ misunderstanding of “mean high tide line.”
As in the image, a line of seaweed washed up can be from an abnormal storm tide or a normal high tide, so a beach goer can’t just point to shite washed up. Ignorant property owners and managers seem to think it’s water’s edge all day every day, which is also false. It all depends on beach slope, as generally the northern Gulf is microtidal and has a very small range of 1 ft give or take. Wind can also influence water setup. In the end, you do have 10, 20, sometimes 30+ feet of intertidal beach that private property owners have no legal recourse to stop people from setting up. In Louisiana, since our sand grain size is smaller, our beaches are even flatter, and that zone is even wider (but we don’t have the same issues property-wise). All sides need to be educated on this.

Not all. That dude is a dick and harassed people because they got too close to his line. They call him the beach Karen. Most owners are like Brian and just don’t want people camping out all day. The majority won’t even do anything if someone is on part of their property, it’s the people trying to protest private beaches that are the problem because they will purposely go very high above the line.

Maybe they can put up a very low sand fence? I understand that would take a bit away from the view but it would mark the line with a few small signs. Then the cops could ticket without being dicks since the public definitely would have notice.
All the neighbors could do it but not between the lots.
Or maybe some type of bollard painted sand color.

The emerald coast is crazy crowded these days. Want a true white sand private beach? Got to heads to the Bahamas .

Mexico changed its laws to where no beach can be private.
I sort of agree. You can own land you shouldn't own a beach.

Why not? You can own lake front property, mountain side property next to an active ski slope, etc.

Or the Gulf Islands National Seashore....

One problem is that most people don’t know where that line is. I don’t think it’s as simple as wet sand vs. dry sand.
