Won't be a popular answer on here since its Hipster-ish but my favorite Chinese in NOLA is Blue Giant by FAR. Love that place to an unhealthy degree.

Rouses locations never enforced anything during the last mandate. I didn't wear a mask anywhere last go round, and the only place I got asked to put one on was by some greeter at the Walmart on tchop. I laughed since she wasn't even wearing a mask and just kept walking.

Yeah, Rouses and Winn Dixie on Carrolton have never told me anything

I'm kidding about the JP restaurant thing but I have several special occasions that I already have reservations for in OP so it is what it is.

It is what it is. I find that ignoring the mask mandate is a bit easier than the Vax mandate bc it’s someone wants to be strict then u have the choice to just go to your car and grab one that you haphazardly wear for a few seconds before taking it off.

I don't hipster-shame (probably a reason for that) We tried Blue Giant a few months back and really liked it! Just checked their site and saw they don't do takeout currently which kinda sucks.

Guess I'm still spoiled from having so many options back in the loop (Rice Box TYFYS)

The one on Carrollton mostly did, at least from what I could see.
nah, don't equate seeing people wearing them with it being forced upon them. Only places I saw really force the issue were Robert/Lakeview Grocery that I have gone to

Also back by popular demand, not visiting NOLA.

Don't need a mask mandate for this

I called in an order for cafe equator last week. They said 20min, I waited inside an extra hour. Everyone is having staffing issues.

The mandate sucks, but so does JP food. It’s not the businesses fault

Definitely agree.

I have multiple reservations the next couple of weeks and people coming in town in 2 weeks so can't really avoid OP restaurants anyway.

There are obviously better restaurants in Nola but JP has some good restaurants as well. Hell some of them are literally transplants from Nola bc they were fed up there.

Can't agree with you here. Plenty of businesses have been very vocal in their support of all this nonsense.

Oh yeah I definitely follow a few on Insta.

Several have had mask mandates in place for weeks and are constantly posting shite about how "if you don't want to wear a mask then don't come! We don't want you!" etc

Unless news sources categorically start dialing back the fear porn every time there is a "new wave" ( ), these types of people will continue with this charade for the rest of their lives.

Does anyone know the final tally for 2021?

Wouldn't be surprised if there were more murders than covid deaths in 2021.

Can y'all take the restaurant reviews to the F & D Board? I'd like to keep this thread reserved for bashing Teedy, Avegno the Troll, and the populace of NOLA who wants more governing.
