No one asked why a Bomber aircraft was over South Dakota?

I mean, we don’t station long range bombers overseas, so presumably training. I believe most of our B-52’s are at barksdale.

Well then we should definitely add to the death and destruction by adding more unqualified people to the mix.

Here is your conspiracy:

B1 on approach. Comes close to landing and then doesn’t. Air base sets off explosions to simulate a plane crash. B1 refuels in the air on its way to Ukraine. 4 people in hospital were landing crew that slipped on ice after they ignited the explosions.

You should be asking what was a Japanese Coast Guard plane doing on an active US runway.

One less in the fleet, down to 44. All retired by 2035 anyway I think. And only like 20 B-2’s left. About 70 B-52’s. They better get the B-21 rollin.

Do you think they will ever get something new on time within budget and be worth a damn?

MIC is only after continuing greed a graft in a broken system of too few companies and not enough competition that is hard to break in. And if you do get in, your company gets “bought” by the big guys and the ideas get the “corporate” treatment and whither on the vine only to be left with a dead project and continuing to support legacy systems with huge budgets but fixes that are like putting a band aid on a puncture wound.

I would say that blaming this on complex systems/competency crisis or an aging airframe at this point is asinine, since you both don't have enough info.

What's the conspiracy angle?

It isn’t a “conspiracy” or a “theory.” The plane had the backup of the election servers from Germany onboard.

They are a 50 year old airframe.

Even moreso, it requires even more competency.
