Edward’s is so big, my Dad would leave home, drive two hours, then spend one or two nights on another base, on Edward’s.

Pretty much what he posted was repeated by an AF Spokesman this morning on Fox News.

I am well versed in OPSEC and nothing I’ve posted crosses that line. All is public information.

I'm very familiar. They used to do a 2 engine go during CFIC, so I doubt it was a thrust issue. Hate second guessing, but I've heard that years ago, the trim adjustment was installed wrong. An old IP told me about it, but I would think that would be caught during rudder/elevator checks. This sucks.

Speaking from another old Crewdog, you haven't crossed any lines.

Haughton husband and father among those killed.
Very sad story.
The writer of the article is also not very bright, the state of journalism is abysmal.

Lt. Col. Gabriel Estrella formally served at Barksdale Air Force Base and leaves behind a wife and children.
There are some things AI spellcheck won't catch. Do these people even proofread their stories? Where's the editor???

This sucks. I haven’t posted in any of these the last couple of days…
I used to brief Lt. Col. Middleton daily out there at Edwards AFB. Wonderful human being. The whole unit felt his positivity. He’d stop by and BS at the desk with me/us, and always valued the input and family lives of his troops as a priority.
His family and unit are going to be hurting for a long time, and the other families/units as well. Edwards, and more specifically the flight test community therein, is a very tight-knit group. They know the inherent dangers and importance of their efforts, and make a big effort to keep everyone’s head in the game across all facets of service and home life.
Just fricking sucks, man. I feel for those folks out there.

I hear you. Feels like RAIDR 21 all over. Hard not to say something but want to give everyone space. I will say this. Evil Watson is one of the most sincerest, funniest and friendliest dudes I ever met. He will be missed.

I've known Evil since he joined the 20th Bomb Squadron in the 2004 timeframe. Great person and great aviator. I always enjoyed being around him. He will definitely be missed.
We probably have crossed paths. Were you aircrew, Mx, or some other AFSC?

I met Evil a time or two in passing, cracked jokes or was at least smiling each time.
This is a tough one, for sure. Speaks volumes, though, how far-reaching these guys’ influences were.

Being at Barksdale for a good bit I'm sure I crossed paths or at least spoke to him on the UHF due to my job. Now I'm at Keesler as a reservist so I had a more lax role while I finished up my degree so it's been a minute since I've been to Barksdale.

That's a really old picture (circa 2014 or so) and that nose art has since been changed. A/C 60-0061 was rebranded to "Man-o-War II" since then. Naming it the "Spirit of Aggieland II" was a stunt perpetrated by several in the leadership chain at the time who were Aggie grads. It was extremely unpopular outside of the cult crowd of Aggie sycophants.

I was a crewdog, patch wearing radar nav just like Evil, we probably know each other I'm guessing.

Same. My callsign is Boudreaux. Graduated WIC in Class 06B and was the 340 WPS/DO from April 2013 to August 2014.

As a former SP and my son is currently an Aircraft mechanic in the USAF, my heart goes out to those families.

Damn. Good chance some or all of those guys were fathers...one hell of a terrible Fathers Day for those families.
Prayers for all.
