The Harlem rapper's comments have predictably sparked outrage and earned messages of support. And in one notable exchange, she engaged in a spat with British soap actress Alison Newman, Gay Star News reports.
It all kicked off with a now-deleted tweet Banks shared on Sunday (Sept. 27): “LGBT community are like the gay white KKK’s. Get some pink hoods and unicorns and rally down rodeo drive." The message was captured by various blogs.
Banks has since made it clear she won't be backing down. "If I am to be a part of an LGBT community I want to be in it with people who aren't so weak or so easily moved ya know," she wrote in one tweet.

Can't we all just agree that even bigots have learned that such tactics only rally people to the cause they oppose? No one in this country would use such tactics today and expect to "win" the argument of public perception.
