Been at multiple positions at my employer switching every few years over 12 total. I am just now leaving for a position at a new company. It's the only way to get raises.

1 year, 3 years, 17 years so 21/3 = 7.
My average time at any given company has been 7 years

Haven't left my company. 13 years in, but I do plan to retire here.

Been with current company for 10 years. Average is 4.75 years not counting that time I worked at McDonalds for 3 hours in high school.

Post-college graduation.
Job 1: 4 Months
Job 2: 12 Years
Job3: 9 Years
Job 4: 4 Years
Current Job: 9 years - Hope to get another 5 out of this one then retire.
Most of the job changes were driven by declining work availability issues except one related to new ownership/management that ended badly for the company a few years after I left.
ETA: with the initial job it is just under 7 years. If I do not include that job, it is 8.5 years.
The first was a situation of the company wanting someone with an engineering degree when they did not need one. I went to work for an engineering consulting company that specialized in control systems and still did work for the company I parted ways with for many years on an as needed basis.

I've been at my company for nine years since grad school. I could get a higher salary elsewhere, but nothing near the benefits and vacation I have now.

10 months
5 years
1 year
7.5+ years (current job)
So, that works out to about 3.5 years per job
ETA: left the first due to money and career direction change, I didn’t really choose to leave the second one, my organization was purchased by another and I transitioned to that organization. I moved on from that one because I wanted a fully remote position and I’ve been here ever since. So if you don’t count that merger my average is 4 years 9 months.

Little over 4 years average, and in hindsight that’s been too long in most cases.
