I have friends that think they can beat Rhonda in a fight just because they are males. Would a guy with an average build (say, 5'9", 175lbs)with minimal fighting experience stand a chance against Rhonda?

We have done this before.

She would be a more more technically sound fighter, but if you land 1 shot or could lock her up to wrestle, she would be fricked.

ETA: wait 5’9” 175? I forget how small some of you dorks are.

Her Judo skills are off the charts. She will ragdoll anyone that 5'9" 175lbs. She might not be able to take punches but no average male will be able to hit her. They will be on the ground before they knew what hit them.

5'10 160 here and I'm pretty sure I'd give her a run for her money. IWHI afterwards as well.

Depends if their 1-2 combo clips her chin, before she gets them in an arm bar.

This would be the part that tells me NO, they would not stand a chance.

Joe Rogan has a podcast where he talks about men and women fighting. Apparently he's seen plenty sparring and grappling sessions between men and women in his experience. He says a guy with a minimum amount of training will beat most professional female fighters simply based on strength and athleticism especially because of striking. He did say there were exceptions though

The average man weighs 190 lbs and has a 38 inch waist. I like Rousey's chances.

Now a guy in decent shape, that's different.

With no fighting experience? Not a chance.

No, the locks would get them before they did real damage...

She would get beat in a stand up against a guy with decent hand skills at that size though...
It's tough to replicate that power
