One good thing about the Autozone is their tool loan program. Nothing worse than buying a tool that you will probably use once in your car's life.

In this order:
Rockauto
NAPA
Autozone (which is within walking distance)
Carquest (also walking distance)
NAPA premium line is typically OEM stuff rebadged. They also carry higher quality ancillary stuff that is just rebadged. Autozone stuff is generally crap. Carquest never has what I am looking for.

Where I live it's a choice between Vato Zone and O'Reilly. Don't see much of a difference, even the store layouts are the same.
AutoZone used to do more customer service, but it's pretty much just an emergency retail store now. Prices are always better online or at a box store.

Not all Carquest stores are independent, some are corporate owned by Advance who bought the parent company of Carquest a few years ago.

Carquest and napa... auto zone is pure trash. Bunch of junk. And anyone who know parts and mechanic work will avoid it at all cost

O’Reillys seems to be like the chic fil a of autoparts store with good service.
Anytime I go to O'Reillys they always offer to help me install whatever I bought. It can be 115 outside and they will gladly install the windshield wipers blades or battery I just bought with a smile.

Autozone is the bottom feeders of the auto parts world. Napa and carquest have the best parts

Carquest was bought out by Advance Auto in 2014.
Advance/Carquest has some good coupon codes if you google the current codes, buy online, and pick up in the store.
I look up the part # on Rock Auto and then do a price check using Rock, Amazon, Adavace, & Oreily. Rock shipping usually is usually a deal breaker for them.

Rock Auto has the trashiest commercials.

Went today a got a battery from walmart because they were $10 cheaper than all the autoparts stores.
O'Reilly will price match. I went there for a lawnmower battery and they were $20 more than Walmart. I told them that and they gave me the battery for the Walmart price.

My God. What kind of piece of shite even knows this. fricking Shellback

A piece of shite that needs a goddamn lawnmower battery you fricking bullet sponge.

I always get my car batteries from O Reilly. Car batteries don't last long here(2-3 years max). Make sure to get one with a 3 year warranty...so that the next one is free cause it's still under the warranty.

I usually drive through different neighborhoods until I find a vehicle in a driveway similar to mine.

My dad was a hi-lo auto parts fan. I remember the commercials when oreillys bought them out—it went from hi-lo, oreillys; to o-o-oreilleys.
I’ve bought batteries from autozone lately, because that’s the closest place to me, and I can usually jump it to there and have them replace the battery. Back in the day, batteries were easy to replace, but now cars have plastic covers and random shite that makes the batteries less accessible.

I don't have an O'Reilly's nearby but from answers on here, I wish I did. Seems I need to go to Napa and/or Carquest. I have noticed the decline in Autozone over the last 2 decades but wanted confirmation.
