Safeco rates based on tiers. If you are preferred tier 10 or 20 they are super cheap. However in a year when you renew you will probably see a 6-12% increase like every other company

Mine has gone up 100$ a year for the last 3 years. Guess I'll shop for next years.
2 vehicles, no tickets, etc.

Allstate just clipped me for $130+ for 6 months.
What can you do ?

I've seriously considered switching to Go Auto or The General last time I had to renew. May actually go through with it next time.
The bottom feeder companies have shitty claim payouts compared to Geico, State Farm, Allstate etc

progressive did that to me after being with them ten years and not having any at fault accidents and no moving violations on record. Pissed I went to Geico and saved $95 a month.
(I was paying $359 a month now $262. 300/150/300 with 200 deductibles, maxed out uninsured, tow and rental on two commercial vehicles.)

So why must MY car insurance go up with never having to use them at all? All my car insurance I've been paying since 16, has been straight profit and none has ever came back to my vehicle. So now that they are losing money from other peoples, they must raise my rates? What a racket. Insurance is a fricking scam anyway. Had a house fire and it was an accident and they were trying to bitch out about the claim, and said we never fixed the fire damage.

Got GEICO and was paying $80 a month. It has gone up every year to now paying over a $100 a month with no accidents or tix. You'd think they would want to hold onto good drivers instead of seemingly penalizing them. Guess it's still on the cheaper side but that's not the point.
Penalizing statewide cause of weather seems kinda bs too. Different parts of states have different risks.

Remember that when it comes to insurance, when you buy cheap you buy twice.
You would be making a mistake if you switch to one of those bottom dwellers.

Give Geico 15 minutes and you can save on your auto insurance.

Lawyer ads. Chiropractors who pad treatment for legal cases. Bad drivers. Floods. Crappy roads. Crappy drivers. Tailgaters. Speeders. Unisured drivers.

It's pretty obvious. You could probably expect your homeowners insurance to go up as well.

Don’t you wish you had homeowners insurance to worry about?

call them up and negotiate
You can’t negotiate a rate. Now if you are with an independent they can shop it for you or the bigger companies may have someone else they can write you though... but rates aren’t negotiable, you aren’t buying a car.

I'm sure if the HO3 policy goes up, jazzybee will explain that she didn't even file a Katrina claim
