I just leave my car unlocked for them? If they want to steal all the trash, food crumbs, and dig hair out of my car i might as well make it easy for them.

Well saying i was in a good area of town has about zero to do with it.

People that break into vehicles aren’t gonna go to the hood to break into vehicle because there aren’t any valuables in them.

“Good areas” is where dumb arse white guys leave pistols and cash in their trucks and women leave valuable like tablets in them because of the kids

If you have a platinum with the sensors in the taillights, I’m surprised those haven’t been stolen yet. Do yourself a favor, drop your tailgate and look at the screws Ford used to “secure” the $4k (per light) taillights.

The console safes are only $400, its where the gat gets stored.

About 6 months ago 40...yes 40...vehicles hit in our apartment complex in one night, including mine.

They got about $7.00 in change and I got to pay to replace 2 windows.

I feel your pain.

That really sucks

I drive a shitty little car and live in New Orleans and have never had a broken window, same for my neighbors with cars. Seems like they really just target trucks and suvs

Knock on wood, but I haven't had my vehicle broken into since I was at LSU. It happened twice, once in Tigerland (before it was a war zone) and once on Burbank when I lived across the street from El Cid.

Been mostly in BR ever since and no other incidents. I've pretty much always driven a truck.

Wtf…2 guns and a backpack = $30k?! I served 20 years in combat arms and never had $30k worth of gear even at defense contractor prices that I could carry at on my back and with two hands.

A deputy told me they are just looking for guns, drugs, or cash. That’s it. The professionals won’t take anything else.

I normally have 3 guns when I travel unless I’m just deer hunting then I may bring only two bolt action rifles.

$6000 rifle
$500 mount
$4000 thermal
$1300 can with stamp

$3k for binos and range finder

The worst part about it is I can kill them just as dead with my first bolt action rifle and Nikon scope for under $1000

I get not wanting to wait around for a bullshite on scene report but I hope you at least reported the stolen gun

I was flying out about 5 hours later so I wasnt gonna wait hours for the cops and not get no sleep. and houston doesnt allow you to report a stolen gun online and I got better things to do besides go play around with the police. If they find it with serial numbers intact they can come look for me. I dont have anything to hide. I have an intrusion alarm from onstar along with many texts and stuff talking about the gun being stolen.

I still periodically get a call from a louisiana sheriff asking if I ever found my stolen gun from the last one that was stolen out of one of my vehicles. stupid fricks.
