Georgetown is as liberal as Austin. They claim to have 100% "green electricity" which is bogus. So avoid.

Is the property tax rate really 2.1% in Austin? That would probably open up up to 600K for me. Everything in Houston is north of 3%. My current is 3.6%. So I was definitely off in my mortgage estimation there.

It’s not really that different. Austin proper and Houston proper are very similar, around 2.2-2.4. It all depends on specific address. If you are in specific burbs and in a MUD it can get over 3 in both metros.

Nope. Austin is heavily liberal, as everyone knows. Georgetown is closer to 50/50.

GTFO. We don’t need Travis county trash destroying Bell County. Go back to your shanties in WilCo.

Seriously though liberty Hill or Leander/Cedar Park sound like your best bets.

You’re completely right. It’s a terrible county full of KKK and MAGA country with large women.

Please don’t move here.

In terms of value I think Kyle, TX is primed for huge growth. Seemingly a lot of land and pretty well built up infrastructure out there.
