The child memorials hit so hard. The people that run the account honor victims born on each day.

In January 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her parents. She was murdered in a gas chamber with her mother Paule.

Japan was no better to the Chinese.

ETA. The “knowing better” YouTube channel has a good episode on why Japan gets a pass of sorts.

The complete and utter destruction of the ashkenazi people and culture; a people and culture that pound for pound probably contributed more to math, science and medicine than anyone. 70 years later and European Jewish culture remains functionally non existent.

Watch the movie Conspiracy to get a good understanding of how a society can get to that point.

Why in God’s name would you post this?

We all know Nazis did unimaginable horrors, but keep them as unimaginable, not confirmed.

I have been to Dachau. That was bad enough for me although it was mild compared to Auschwitz.

The amount of people who call anyone they disagree with a nazi, or “literally hitler,” lead me to believe we need reminders every now and then.

I went to Dachau in 2019. Dachau was what made Auschwitz, took everything dachau was and cranked it to 11.

Everyone needs to be reminded frequently of the Holocaust, so that it can never happen again.

Ethnic cleansing will always happen sadly. No amount of holocaust memorials will stop that.

I went to Auschwitz in 2019. It was an extremely somber experience and I encourage any one who is in Krakow or the area to go.

It was strange; I just felt like an empty shell walking around there and Birkenau.

I remembered seeing a picture of identical twin 4 year old girls who both died on the same day. Insane.
