Its a private school. If someone else is willing to pay more I don’t see a victim

Ok how about the American taxpayer then? These assholes wrote off their bribes as charitable contributions.

Welcome to the real world. Sometimes people with better qualifications lose out to people with better connections

Those daughters looked more than qualified. Hard to believe any hotter coeds were denied.

How about earning it honestly instead of lying? Not that difficult.

Couple questions:
1. Will she and husband actually serve time in jail? Thought they would get house arrest due to COVID?
2. Did the daughter end up going to school? If so, where?

So, basically just donate money upfront to a random program and then get let in like 1000s of other people have done for their kids and you arent angry

Former “Full House” TV star Lori Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail Friday for admittedly conspiring to pay a half-million-dollar bribe to get her two daughters into the University of Southern California as fake rowing recruits.

I get that this is unethical but for the life of me I can't figure out why she was arrested for this and why it is illegal. USC is a private university. If someone bought a scholarship seeing how it is a private school that is between them and the school.

Sad thing is, if they just gave the money directly to the school, they could have had their name thrown on a building/wall and the kids still would have be able to get in.

That costs more. That was part of the pitch in this scheme.
