In short, the creator of the petition wants it to either be canceled for the Black Lives Matter movement or be changed to reflect the slavery of the time period

White women are the biggest threat to the United States.

I have started a petition at Change.org to eliminate the racist LSU mascot
As we all know, the LSU Tigers were named after Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, which is cultural appropriation at its most offensive.

Give it time and they will go after this too because of the Civil War ties it has

Oh man... she’s reaching hard for some virtue signaling points with this post ...
Trying to be that city on a hill in times of darkness so they will like/share and sign the petition for #equalrights

Wonder what that Central Park birder thinks of this.

Imagine being a black man apart of the “movement” and having some brainless virtue signaling white girl from the ‘burbs fighting your fight for you.

St Francisville don't have a problem reminding everyone how that black woman killed those kids at Myrtles

How insulting do you find this?
Do any of the black people you know find this patronizing?

Narcissistic white girls are trying to steal all the attention from black folks.

and I call it a “movement” because generally most actual real movements have a legitimate solution or ask. this “movement” does not

LSU Has No Plans to Change Mascot Despite Petition
They’ve already tried. Imagine a world where LSU aren’t the “Tigers.”

Middle-upper class white women have interpreted the movement black Americans started to be a social media challenge.

I don't find it insulting mainly because I don't have a problem with the way the Pilgrimage is now. My response to members of the black community who support this is why did it take a white female to bring attention to it for you? By doing that you're playing into the hands of the left that you can't think for yourself

I find it, and I'm sure my friends do too, patronizing when anyone thinks we aren't smart enough to bring attention to matters. If we haven't spoken out about something, then we don't care about it and don't need some Karen speaking up for us

Brilliant. I wonder how many morons will fall for it.

The Natchez Pilgrimage Tableaux had already imploded on itself. There have been black participants for decades.
No petition was necessary by this lemming.
The antebellum homes are truly magnificent and from another time, which is why tourists visit. Tourists know that economic structure no longer exists and these are fascinating cultural relics.
Get over it. History existed. The past is gone. It can’t hurt you.
