Wife’s Christmas present, plan on test driving one of these 3. Since I’m not OT baller, I’m looking for slightly used or Demo.
Looking for something good for Family of 4, easy to drive...wife didn’t like driving the big SUV(Tahoe etc)
Must have 3 rd row seat.
Problem with the Audi and Lexus...I don’t see any with lcds in second row for kids.
Am I missing something ?
Appreciate any insight and suggestions.

The lexus is the best choice by far.

Keeping up with the Jones will make you broke. Toyota Highlander is the way to go.

The new Armadas are sweet. Very handsome vehicles and very nice to drive. The Q7 will be more of the same.

However, if you’re looking to get something and keep it 10 years, get the Lexus and don’t even look at the other two.

Lexus. If she wants no thrills get the 4Runner and save some coin. It’s not nearly as flashy as the Lexus but hell of a truck.

The armada is the same size as a Tahoe.

GX460 is one of the best built cars in the world (it’s a 4Runner basically), but as far as size goes it’s a bit small for two kids.

The Armada is a full size SUV and would be better compared against the LX570, Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe, etc. From a size perspective it’s nice but will wear and depreciate poorly if you plan to buy and hold from what I’ve seen with used Nissan/Infiniti’s.

The Audi will have the best looks and interior, but long term maintenance is a major concern as it would be with any German vehicle.

If you want best vehicle for 30-50k I’d go Audi.
If it’s depreciation and reliability I’d go Toyota/Lexus.
If it’s functionality I’d go Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade because I think with the captains chairs they are more functional for a family than many of the competitors.

We have a 4Runner and an LX570 and would recommend them to anyone, but if we have a second kid we will be selling the 4Runner for a Yukon most likely due to size and function.

Any reason you have to have a 3rd row?

Lexus has a COG issue that was fixed but I’m still skeptical. Audi is beautiful. Nissan is garbage.

The LX 570 and LC are crazy expensive even used.

We looked at the 570 and just can’t go $100k for a family vehicle the kids will destroy.

As a father of three giant chimps, the suburban platform is far more practical versus all three. If you want bling and some HP, look at the GMC Denalli.
A truly usable 3rd row with full cargo.....and can tow a boat.

I actually just saw that Audi of NO had a 2012 GX460 with ~75,000 miles listed for ~$26,000

Thanks for advice, don’t worry, we don’t keep up with anyone ! She doesn’t like the Highlanders.

I didn’t realize Armadas were full size, that’s why I come to the OT, to get educated.
Thanks

Thanks...we don’t have iPads though. None of us do.
Keeping them away from the kids as long as we can.
