There’s the original 3 wheelers.
Then 4 wheelers when people got all worked up over dangerous 3 wheelers.
And then buggies that are more like a car or dune buggy.
Bike is from bicycle where “bi” means “2”. Which can be a two-wheeled bicycle you pedal or a motor cycle.

How about wet bikes. No, it’s a jet ski.

No idea on OPs question but we still have our Honda Big Red from my grandpa. shite has been flipped probabaly 100+ times and still in great shape.
You could probably find one in the woods, clean the carb and it would run. Indestructible machines.

People out west call them quads. First time I heard that I had to ask what they were talking about. We call it a four wheeler.

I’ve heard bike term used lately too. I think it is because the frame and layout is similar to a motorcycle. But I agree that bike is stupid to call a 4 wheeler. We call them just wheelers I guess.
