I agree. I don't see how they escape without some sort of black eye/bruise.
The doctors were definitely complicit. They inflated their normal fees so that there could be a larger settlement.

The thing everyone is missing is that these assholes weren't stealing from the insurance companies. They were stealing from everyone in LA. We all pay exorbitant insurance rates justified by the money these guys were fraudulently sucking out of the system. frick every one of them with a rusty jagged pipe.

To a certain extent but get to know a commercial insurance agent and see how the underwriters and brokers treat them.
Masters trips, palm springs, Arizona, they spend so much money schmoozing those dudes.
That’s not to mention the insured has an agent who then goes to a broker who then goes to an underwriter. That’s 4 layers and everyone is taking their cut along the way until you get to what actual, rated premium is to the underwriter.
That money has to come from somewhere.

This scheme was just a side effect of the underlying disease which is that it is way too easy to file auto accident lawsuits in this state. The sheer volume of these suits filed in LA on a daily basis is staggering. It's nauseating.
There needs to be some kind of screening process before a suit is allowed to be filed. If you want to sue over a low speed collision and soft tissue damage, you should have to produce a lot of valid physical and medical evidence on the front end to some kind of panel or clearing house before you clog up our courts' dockets with your suit.

He looks like he should be selling comic books and saying “Worst. Case. Ever.”

Justice is slow as molasses even with insane evidence.

I don’t know if there was financing with Keating but there are rumors of a puppetmaster in the other suspected stuntwoman fraud case who has a finance company.
Yes.

And iirc they’re represented by the POS that’s head of the LSU BOS

I can't imagine walking into court as a criminal defendant with my lawyer wearing that suit.
ETA or walking into court as a criminal defendant wearing those shoes. Trash finds its way to the dump, even with a JD.

In order to make any real progress we have to take the doctors down too. The lawyers may run the screen, but it is impossible without the doctors.

So the difference between this asshat and all the billboard and commercial faces we see daily are? Are we to believe this ONE Louisiana plaintiff attorney has deals with claimants and doctors but it’s an isolated case?
Greed/stupidity. If they’re just done this here and there it almost certainly wouldn’t have seen the light of day. But when you’re stupid/greedy enough to run hundreds of staged accidents in nearly identical ways, yeah, it’s gonna get noticed.
That’s not to say all the commercial/billboard lawyers are like that, but who knows?

Iirc, that’s the underlying complication to all of this. Very very huge connections. If so, will Justice take small bites or bring the whole thing down?
Will the present brain-dead putrid leftist administration (resident biden) influence the process to kill it and protect certain parties?
ETA:

The local probe into staged accidents started under former U.S. Attorney Peter Strasser, a President Donald Trump appointee who President Joe Biden removed.
Right.

Guys come on, don't judge all personal injury attorneys just because of the actions of a few. Most PI plaintiff attorneys are honest people simply doing God's work in seeking to make their grievously injured clients whole again.
Also, whiplash is a traumatic brain injury.

So it’s still the insurance companies fault? Gfy scrub

Not at all, but there’s significant greed on both ends of the equation. Only one side is dumb enough to flaunt it for the general public, though
