Pretty sure he was shot in the head. You can see the pics/videos on Twitter.

I once represented a rapper on a gun related felony. I had a deal to have the case dismissed. The rapper decided, however, to do an online video with him stating "frick the ___ Parish Sheriff, frick ____ Parish D.A. (name), frick the Judge, etc."

It promptly took the dismissal deal off the table when the D.A. saw it.

Rapper said he "wanted to keep it real for his fans." I won't state what I said in response.

When will the black community wake up and realize that the biggest threat to their existence comes from within? Not some boogeyman white supremacist.

Black folks just take their cues from white folks who have terrible issues with reality.

White progs (regardless of religion) are the ones who push the most insanity.

He's not gonna be like either. No one will remember or know who he was in 20 years.

I didnt live through the punk-rock era but wasn't that viewed as bad influence music when it was first introduced onto the scene?

Yeah, sure, Sid probably killed Nancy, but he never let rounds fly at any of The Ramones when they were milling about in front of CBGB.

Someone tell Eminem that the Migas currently have a slot open for another rap artist.

Maybe these folks should stop shooting each other. Better yet, keep shooting, but tell the media to stop highlighting these individuals like they are valuable pillars of society.

Rap is a victim of its own success. If you tap into the right cultural trends (use of emerging slang, personal appearance) the music doesn't matter. The "coolness" is just assumed. The emperor really has no clothes here.

... rap a victim of it's own success ...

no truer words

themes; guns, money, cars, drugs, women, glam ...

do you wake up every day with that thought process on your mind?

let's just say --- as you can see it doesn't end well

By no means am I saying this man deserved to die (he didn't).

But those posting that this man was a saint are sadly mistaken. Someone already posted a link but I'm a flight attendant for Delta based out of ATL - and it's a known fact that these guys are complete and utter assholes onboard and they fly DL quite frequently. Have had to be taken off flights in ATL and Paris among others due to their complete and utter foolery and attitudes onboard.

The genre is really in a rut. I listened to Versace and another Migos track today, and they sounded to me exactly like what I expected.

This is like listening to a couple of Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean songs and declaring all country music is dead, while being completely ignorant to the strain of underground country that’s been going on the last decade starting with Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell

Or they will be like the regents of England and little children will memorize a verse with their names in order of deaths.
