It's about to get real ugly... People are coming off of the bridge and having to slam on their brakes because of the state troopers in the middle of the interstate...

According to Google Maps, the traffic from the closure is already bad back to the bridge and there appears to be a wreck on the EB side of the bridge.

I drive Lafayette to BR every weekday for work.

This week they were doing bridge inspection on I10 over the Basin. Monday it took me 2.5 hours to get to my office off of Highland. Tuesday it took me 3 hours.

Now I'll have a lovely commute back to Lafayette today.

Beaumont has it every week for the past 4 years while they do endless construction on the bridge. God forbid there be an accident on the interstate right there.

That's going to be closed for the better part of the day, as of 30 minutes ago they were still working on cutting the injured driver out of the cab.

I'm not moving to Baton Rouge, Denham or Prairieville sorry LOL

I grew up in Ethel LA, moved to Lafayete, fell in love with Cajun women and food, and I never came back after college!

If I move anywhere, it'll be to Colorado.

Is that driver holding onto his own mirror in that photo?

I'm amazed that he appears to be okay.

I've got a place in Ethel on 955. Great area.

Has anyone called Leonard's Transport to say this driver is gonna be late?
