Best economy ever dudes. No pics, I was driving.
That's why they're striking. ATT making that $$$ and not passing it on to employees

We’re baffled as to why union leadership would call one when we’re offering terms that would help our employees — some of whom average from $121,000 to $134,000 in total compensation — be even better off,” said AT&T spokesman Jim Kimberly.

They’ve been striking in Lafayette today. Doesn’t look like the retail types but the IT and support types. I cringe every time I see them.

Haha, is this where three people nationwide make those amounts and somehow that becomes the talking point.

Yeah, we’re striking. What about it?
We work under a contract that gets renegotiated every 4 years. Our contact expired 8/3/19, but we kept working in good faith through last Friday. About a week ago our bargaining team hit an impasse with ATT where the company could not produce anyone with authority to negotiate specific parts of our contract. So, we filed a ULP suit and the current strike is in response to the company failing to negotiate in good faith.
It’s a union job, but it’s not the kind of union seen in the movies. We have a fairly loose confederacy of locals, and our benefits are barebones at best. Oh, and those $120k-$140k figures the company cites are the (highly inflated) total cost of our annual employment—including everything from benefits and uniforms to tools and the gas for our trucks. The majority of our union members top out under $25/hr, and the highest paid specialty techs reach the low $40s/hr.
I was pretty vehemently anti-union before I went to work there. Now, I’m a little bit more on the fence. We don’t see any wide-scale abuses of the system, and the work is long, hard, and brutal. Just the way Owlie likes his sex.

Who do you think at ATT is making that money? Maybe lots of current and former employees who own stock as well as thousands of investors.
I'm not saying I don't support the labor as I don't know enough about it, but a company like this doesn't just keep the profits.
