What is the ROI in this? How do they recoup $$45M from having 100,000 people on their network for 3 hrs, six times year?
My first thoughts as well. Amortized over 10 year...
If: 6 events/year
100,000 attendees each
10 years
Total attendee-visits: 100,000 × 6 × 10 = 6,000,000
100,000×6×10=6,000,000
45,000,000 ÷ 6,000,000 = $7.50
$7.50 per attendee visit over the 10-year life

This is going on everywhere, my Brother In Law works for MSB Consulting Engineers which has recently done the Super Dome, DFW Airport, Paycor Stadium, University of Nebraska, Liberty University, AAC Dallas and many more.
The technology is outpacing the needs where large crowds need WiFi/Cell services.

Seems like they could do a set up in a small city for that cost.
Tiger Stadium is full at 100,000 people.

How could that possibly cost $45M?

Can't wait to see all the hood rat shite live streamed from campus on game day!

Honestly, I haven’t had any problem getting service over the past several years in Tiger Stadium. Seems like a whole lot of money to fix a problem that no longer exists.

Games are much more enjoyable at home with family and friends.

Not all 100k have AT&T
I guess their rationale is that having operable service will cause more people to switch to AT&T.
Wife A with Verizon isnt able to post her gameday selfies on Instagram
Wife B with AT&T is posting away
Wife A complains to Husband A that they need to switch providers

There's just no way this is an actual 45m spend to upgrade a network at a CFB stadium
Something is clearly being lost in translation here - right?

Booo. Going off the grid was part of the game day fun. Live in the moment.
Until they have a 3 minute commercial break every 5 minutes. This sucked the last bit of enjoyment I had in going to the games.
