Did they add a lot more power and a decent suspension to those?

Just turned 43 and can’t believe how fast the last few years have went. And it’s almost Thanksgiving/Christmas again. Though I don’t always do it, I’ve tired to make an effort lately of living every day in the moment and trying to make it count. Spend as much time with family as possible. And as Warren Zevon said, enjoy every sandwich.

Life before kids felt like it was moving at a snail's pace. Once that first one popped out, it got faster. Three kids later it's blowing by. Months feel like weeks, days feel like months. Hard to explain.

Is it because you have a long term measure of time that shows so many changes in the growth and aging process of your kids?

It hit me about 2 weeks ago. My two year old daughter is way too independent. Now daddy can’t carry her up the stairs for bed time, ole girl has to walk, she has to change into her PJs without help, etc.

Guess I didn’t realize how important that bedtime routine was to me.

After 67. You know it is all gonna wrap up soon enough. It's like get your stuff done because even if you make it into your seventies, that decade after you won't do much. I bought a new bass boat on the premise it would be my last.

42 and it’s hitting hard. My work schedule unfortunately over the last two years has been just absurd. I’ve missed so much and feel like I have nothing to show for it. And time has gotten away from me. I missed holidays and birthdays, trips. I missed all but one of my son’s baseball games this year. My daughter will be 13, which means she’ll be out of the house in 5 years and in college and that’s scary as frick. It was a min ago when she used to want to go shopping with me and look at toys and tell me all about the different dolls and what they did. But most of all I worry that I only have a few years left of her wanting to do stuff with us.

It’s been a rough go here lately

Literally right now.

I was 37 when I found this fricking site and now I'm 57.

I am making more of an effort to downsize crap like projects and things so I'm not sitting around in 10 years with stuff I'll never do.

Is it time to give up my beloved college calculus book that saw me through 13 credit hours at LSU?

I'm started to think I'm not going to need it.

13-17-18 is a bitch with girls

Typically and at least ours it gets much better after HS. They usually come back to being very close to initially dad, then mom. When they get in their 20s and 30s, even more so

The question was “At what point in your life did you think... life sure flew by?”, not at what point in your life did you realize you were gay.

The 15 minutes from when you bring baby home and can hardly contain your emotions about the beauty of life to when they are graduating college and you wonder where all the daily sweetness went.

If it sounds like I’m missing my children, you’d be right. Even when I’m with them I can’t get enough of them. Holding pinkies with my 21 year old daughter on the LSU bus this weekend was better than a weeklong vacation in Europe for me.

Time, brothers and sisters…

Right now actually. I’m 39 and have been having dreams about dead grandparents, my childhood, as well as my parents but when they were much younger than they are now. For some reason I’ve been reminiscing about my younger years a lot lately and it’s got me realizing how old I’m getting.

It’s not fun.

One day you’ll be reminiscing about being 39

My dad is 76 and laughs about reminiscing about his early 50s, my age

Went to my 50th HS reunion in May and actually had a great time meeting old friends. But I was amazed to see the poor condition of several of them were who I could barely recognize from when I knew them. Some were in wheelchairs and on oxygen. 39 classmates are dead and I got notification last week of another one passing. That number is really going to accelerate now as we approach our 70s. I'm in good health and stay active, so hopefully I can delay the inevitable for awhile.

The first time I truly felt old was a couple of years ago when my youngest child told me he was to old to go to Tigerland
