I’m sure most boys who play QB, especially coming from another sport, have some help...dad or otherwise.
so when hes at practice he has a trainer coaching him from he stands and a coach coaching him on the field?
How many trainers are coaching individual kids from the fence line?

i didn’t miss many practices during high school football.
I loved watching what coaches were teaching, most of the “scrimmage” time was low contact so i loved watching players practice technique and of course there was no competitive pressure except to get better.

He wants to play varsity football...he will play varsity soccer. Giant difference in his knowledge level between the two sports though.

I don't know, but it blew my mind when my son was starting out in sports and parents stayed to watch practice. That wasn't a thing when I was kid, even in 5 and 6 year old leagues. There would sometime be a parent or two that would stay, but every parent stayed that first soccer season when he was 6.

A kid on my high school football teams, dad would watch practice everyday. We found it strange at first. Then the Dad got to involved. He would yell at his son. Even walked out a few times and grabbed the kids face mask and yelled at him in front of the team.
That went to far and became creepy. We all felt sorry for the guy. Eventually the head coach put a stop to it and told the dad not to come around anymore.
