Pretty sure i never showered with my parents and if i did i was too young to remember. I'm really glad I don't have a memory of that.

Is there really anyone saying that?

Permanent memory develops around 5 years old.

At that time all bath time should be separate.

Well...yes. That was said.

By the way, do you feel there is an age where it becomes inappropriate?

Yup. I guess the same people feel like molesters every time they change their kids diaper... Because that is WAY more up close and personal than a shower

How about putting a pill in there butt? That first time I had to do that I felt terrible. Looking at my gigantic fingers and where I had to put that, it was not something I wanted to do and was the last time, since my wife wasn't there that first time, she took over after that.

I have a 3 and 1 year old. I would never be naked in front of the 3 yr old. I pee with him and that's just to show him how to aim and shake.

There's just no need for a grown man to show a young child what man dick and balls and hairy butt looks like

See, I have a 4 year old and have no problem with being naked in front of him. But I have no issue with your position. It makes you uncomfortable. And that's fine. My kids come in the bathroom while I'm showering and I've never given it a thought.

He comes in the bathroom occasionally when I shower. I try to turn away from him, but it doesn't bother me, yet.
I would never get naked and bathe with my kids, and I find that wwierds that anyone would do that.

I grew up in a one bathroom house. Probably shared the shower with my brother far longer than most would deem appropriate.

Just for the record: I don't remember ever bathing/showering/being naked with my parents. I started bathing myself at 6 or so.

Someone touched on this but my vote is for "if you think it might be inappropriate it probably is."

Obviously context is important. If you and your child are the same sex and you're out camping and the bathhouse at the campground has open showers, who the hell cares if you're 35 and he's 10?

Obviously it's different if the child is the opposite sex.

I can remember stuff from when I was 4.

And I def do NOT remember bathing with my parents. This is just not appropriate imo.

It's one thing to help your child take a bath...its another to join them.

3 young ones and I can't remember one shower together. I did give them plenty of baths though.

What exactly is not appropriate?

There are occasions where I or my wife jumps into our large shower to clean our 3.5 yr old girl if she needs a quick bath. Its faster than her toying around in a bathtub and gets the job done.

Always apparent those who dont have kids in these types of threads.
