It was productive when we were at the beach. Bathing in sandy water after being buried in sand is dirty. He can't shower by himself. I was full of sand, too. Couldn't get him dressed without getting the whole room sandy if I didn't shower. He would not wait for me to shower if he was done. Solution was to shower together. Quite productive and no mental scarring.

33 its not so much about nudity. I just never let him bathe or shower with me. Up until a certain age I was there with him. It's just what I did.

It really is a case by case type of decision.

See, I'm so worried about possibly seeing a baby dingus that I set them in the tub and have a system rigged up with fishing line and hooks to where when I close the door it rips their clothes off.

Then I go back in there blindfolded

Otherwise you may transform into a pedo and rape the child. People are idiots.

It must be Friday night with all the parents posting. I don't shower with my boys. We have a shower stall and my junk would be all over them. But if I had a huge shower I'd have no issue with it as long as they were comfortable. Sexualization of anything and everything exists in media culture. Not in my house.

Even if they were, say, 16 years old?

Gotcha. So, to the OP original question, what's the age where you say no, not appropriate?

So the real question is at what age do I think parents showering with their kids would get a WTF? Probably 8 or so.

I thought this thread was about how it might be dealt with by a child, not an adult(you).

That sounds reasonable.

I think that the ones saying there is no age where it is inappropriate if both parties feel comfortable are as out in left field as much as the ones saying it's always inappropriate.
