I mean...I wouldn't be comfortable with it...but we're talking about American sensibilities and and I can understand them...I just think they are a bit overblown.
I guess I just don't like putting the hard and fast labels of "that's inappropriate" when in lots of places in the world it isn't that big of a deal.
I just think we make nudity far more sexualized and more of a big deal than it is.
There's something to be said for middle ground.
But showering with a pubescent daughter should naturally feel wrong...IMO.

In a perfect world, there would never be pedophilia or incest. Unfortunately, what "should" naturally feel wrong doesn't to some.
What the OP is asking is a valid question, and should be talked about. And those that believe there are boundaries that come into play at some point when showering with their children shouldn't be automatically labeled as prudes... IMO.

Yup. These days if kids got filthy and parents made them strip in the yard and hosed them off they'd probably be labeled a sex offender.

Obviously I meant with adult supervision. And by supervision don't mean you joining them. Just keeping an eye on them
And why would a 1 year old need to shower? Is a tub not available?

I think it's much more common with fathers and sons...not sure why everyone is jumping to the teenage daughter and daddy scenario. Most bizarre and unlikely really.

That's all I was trying to get you to understand.
But go back and read your initial post to the OP. The question was very specific to what age is showering with your child in appropriate, and you went off about everyone else being prudes. Nobody ever said anything about nudity being inherently bad.
