I can remember being able to do a noon to midnight shift after a big night. That was in my 30's. A day shift was bad. Today both would be unthinkable.

I had an office 9-5 job where I could hurt a little. But in the ER it is just un-fricking-bearable.

I'm 45. I'll let you know when they start to affect me. I drink quite a few beers on a daily basis but drink lots of water before I go to bed.

Yup, when I hit 40 the pain hurt more than the fun

This, except for me that point was in my mid-20s.

Me too. On a sunny Saturday around the pool I can usually put down about a 12 pack give or take a beer before I pull the plug on the evening. My go too before bed is some Aleve with a Low Cal Power-aide. I rarely have a hangover.

All I can say is I'm 47, and would make most of you in this thread look like little girls. Jeez, how did this country win two world wars and become the greatest super power in history?

I drink like Winston Churchill every night and get up at 0530, work by 0700.

Turning 45 soon and I have to say last weekend might of done it. 1/2 bottle of bourbon and plenty of shots of some other crap has me staying away this weekend. I usually forget by the next weekend but not this time.
Oh and Keto diet doesn't help either

I would say the drinking fun & pain lines cross around the age of 39.

Started for me about 36. 39 is a good age to make them less frequent.

I try and save them for Sundays after LSU games now. And the ole traditional Sunday Fundays we had in my 20s and 30s will hurt me until Wednesday now at 41.

You realize some of us idiots will drink that plus a pint or so of booze/shots to boot.

It's not a dick measuring contest at this age. It's just stupid binge drinking way past our age-limit.

I can't even wrap my head around how bad a Houston Sunday at Sams Boat would hurt me the next day. Especially then when I was making the 2 hour drive home the next morning.

30 for me. I was largely done then. Party fun on Friday night was not worth feeling like dogshit on Saturday and Sunday.

PPD - Post Party Depression.

For me, it kicked in my late 20s. It's worse than physical hangover. I replay pointless interactions over in my head. I worry about pointless drunk conversations I had with another drunk person. Its stupid.

I don't think I will ever get shitcanned drunk again in my life. Nothing good comes from getting to that point.

1970 - The guys I flew with in Nam drank hard, real hard, we were 20 and 21. Some learned to quit early in the lives, others did not.

2017 - Those that did not are on walkers, have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, dementia, strokes, cancer and most no longer drive and forget screwing

Me, I'm still screwing, ask yourself what you want in your late 60's and early 70's
