At least 16 sick after coronavirus exposure at New York in-home day care

The cluster of the coronavirus cases has made people in four families sick, including six children at the child care, one sibling, seven parents and two grandmothers, according to Heidi Feathers, who operates the licensed in-home child care with two other parents.
The cases go back to a mom who didn’t quarantine as she waited to learn if she had the virus. For three days she brought her child to the child care, Feathers said. It turned out the child was asymptomatic and both the child and mom have since tested positive for the virus, she said.
“I’m so frustrated that she didn’t tell me, and she didn’t stay home,‘' said Feathers, who had a fever and was sick for eight days. “People need to take this seriously, and stay home if they are sick at all.”
Feathers said Onondaga County Health Department staff confirmed to her that they believe the cases link back to the asymptomatic child brought by the mom who should have been in quarantine. Feathers said she also has heard from the families who became sick.

This is a tough one. One the one hand you could call the mom who didn't quarantine herself and didn't keep her child home until she got her results back selfish, but on the other hand maybe she was not in a job that would allow her to stay or work from home, or she just couldn't make alternative childcare arrangements while she went to work despite trying?

This is just the beginning. This country is gonna need to actually shut down for 1-2 months to get these numbers under control.

Did any of the children have to get hospitalized?
And show me where people have said symptomatic individuals do not need to quarantine. This mom is to blame for this cluster.

Didn't learn anything from the last debacle, huh? It doesn't accomplish anything. The virus isn't going away. The minute you open up you are right back to where we are now. We are just going to have to carry on. So some kids and day care workers got "sick." BFD. It happens all the time.

A couple days a go President says we must open the schools back up. Kids are less likely to get sick and recover better than adults yada yada.
Democrat Karen’s in the droves cry but you will kill the babies. 2 days later we get a story about a daycare and rampant COVID spread where all precautions were taken yada yada.
Que CNN’s Don Lemon, Cuomo & AC360 doing on location shows next week from the day care and bringing in a Biden campaign rep guest host for ‘color commentary.’ It’s as predictable as ice cream melting on a sidewalk.
Come on November 4th.

Interesting. We hear nothing about kids getting sick until Trump says we need to reopen school. All of a sudden the media starts running kids getting sick stories for the sheep
