what about children under 12? what about those with medical conditions who were told by their PcP not to get vaccinated? what about those who got the 1st dose, had a reaction, and was told not to get the 2nd dose? what about illegal immigrants? what about those who caught COVID in the last year and have natural immunity?

Well, the point is that the more of the rest of us that can get vaccinated, the more it helps/spares the people you mention.

It may continue to spread but nowhere near as fast and with far fewer deaths and severe illness. That's not really debatable.

yet. you created a thread crying about a bad job interview earlier TODAY

I started the thread last night after I'd had a couple of drinks and an edible. I was giggling when I started it, and laughed at all the responses, mostly because I knew pretty much how the thread would go.

Yet I'm the POS a-hole when I clearly said I hope his father gets better and recovers.

All of my family have gotten vaccinated, and my parents are already dead(not from Covid).

yes, i understand the logic. but the % of vaccinated you seek likely isn’t realistic and i would hope you aren’t suggesting we should segregate society based on their medical decisions.

Paint me a picture of how the US would be any fncking different if every citizen got vaxxed with an open Southern border.

If everyone in the U.S. was vaccinated and unvaccinated infected Mexicans came into the country, the virus would continue to spread but the majority of hospitalizations would be the unvaxxed Mexicans.

How hard is it to get through to you that vaccinated people are MUCH less likely to require hospitalization than nonvaxxed.

Cases can go to the moon but if people don't get sick enough to have to go to the hospital this thing is fricking over. It's just another bad cold.

I don't really see how anyone can argue this point.

It’s truly tragic that your father has fell victim to biological warfare by way of the Chinese and the Democrats. He should be considered a veteran. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery brother

Honest question, what is the issue with getting in?

Medical school admissions are difficult for even highly qualified candidates. The trick is to know someone that recently got in to guide them through the process.

Why did Trump approve the vaccine and then take it himself?

It was a "rushed" vaccine.
He was already immune because he had COVID already.
It's only approved under emergency use.
Choad504boi disapproves.
There are so many "proven" deadly side effects.

WTF was he thinking in taking the deadly vax?

Thought and prayers schwartzy. This will be rough.

Lost my father to Covid at the end of January. He was on a vent for 12 days before we took him off. It was very hard seeing him with all the tubes that they had in him.

I know a guy who needs a good man. I think the job pays $90K to maybe $120K. Can you pass a drug test? He is a stickler for that in his employees who want to be considered good men. He's a pretty serious guy too. You're not a giggler are you?

I would make a note that while "we" will always argue most anything associated with COVID and being tOT that is fine don't forget the genesis of the thread and take an extra couple of moments within the argument to send good vibes to the OP, his family and especially his father. We occasionally look to our compatriots here for solace and we should be able to find it, even if buried in a storm of argumentative posts.

I was at the home of a friend a few weeks ago whose son was dying in the hospital and there was a huge gathering of people there to support him. His son was unvaxxed and the group was arguing over vaccines etc and I watched my friend and it was clear he felt like he was getting hit by a bat over and over again.

TLDR argue away but don't forget to have compassion for the OP and his family.

Father, We don't know this man's name, but we know that you do. We understand how serious his sickness is and the worry his son and family have for his declining condition. We know you are the great physician and that all good things come from you. We pray you will give this man strength and healing. We ask that you improve his blood oxygen so that he can breath and receive the oxygen he needs to survive. We pray for peace for him and his family. We ask for a healing touch from you and give you all credit and praise for what you will do to bring about healing. Thank you for what you will do for this man. In your Son's name we pray.

Amen
