In Japan, where they are from, it’s called a Giant Hornet. My son did a science project last fall on these insects. They bite the heads off other insects (while alive but paralyzed from their sting) to feed to their young.

Leave it up to the US to append the word “murder” to the beginning. Journalism is at an all time low and a truly pathetic and desperate job.

Keeping out infectious diseases from overseas
Keeping out killer insects from overseas

Denying us our rights

There were reports of Japanese Giant Hornets in the US a few years ago but most were actually Cicada Killers. Every bit as large and terrifying, but not aggressive for the most part.
