I’m 33 and I feel like each year that goes by I have fewer friends. It’s not that I like any of my acquaintances less, but more so that I become more wary of opening up to anyone new. I have a wonderful wife and daughter that I adore, and I am content with that.
The few friends that I do have I would take a bullet for. We only see each other once or twice a year but text everyday.

Not for me , except one good friend which I’ve know since second grade turned into someone else as soon as he moved in with this girl.
She won’t allow him to have a cell phone. And he can’t go anywhere.
He will only talk while at work.
It’s so bad even his Dad, which they are very close, has to literally drive to his house to tell him anything.
That is very irritating and just plain dumb.

My friends are frickin’ awesome. I find getting older to be more irritating than any of my a-hole friends.

No. You will find your true friends are scarce and you should appreciate them.

yes and I will go a step further- people in general - people no longer think with wisdom and look at facts- they are driven by feelings, money, status, and pure greed. Most people say they care but don.t ... they will do nothing to stop the decline in our society and instead live for the day

One of my friends is paying to get private QB lessons for his son. His son is in 5th grade. SMH

more irritating? wait until hearing issues creep into your life, that's the root cause of 95% of conflict

When/if you fall on "hard times"...that is when you find out who your true friends are and who was just an "acquaintance".
