If you read the full story, you'll know that the young black guy is apparently dating or friends with Pentland's neighbor's daughter. The kids are apparently "dog walking buddies" or something per some video I saw of a guy being interviewed by a local TV channel. As far as I can tell, Deandre - the black kid - and the girl got into some kind of an argument today and while they were fighting he pulled her back using her shirt or something and the girl ran over to Pentland's house and told him she was being sexually assulted and that's when Pentland confronts Deandre and that's when the video begins. My guess is the girl standing on the left side in that video is Deandre's friend who had that fight/argument with him.

The local SC news station said there were reports of him laying hands on not one but TWO women shortly before this incident. The Sgt. went out there to tell him to leave.
Isn't the left a fan of "community policing?" Isn't that what happened here? Where's the problem?

Whatever happened there is no reason for a mob of protesters to surround someone’s house. That is mob rule and should not happen. We have courts for that.

Yeah, this Sergeant who told the black guy "you-are-in-the-wrong-neighborhood-motherfricker" has himself lived in that cookie cutter subdivision for less than a year. He bought that house in June last year for $280K. He is not exactly the 'pillar of the community' that he thinks he is.

Depends on how it was edited, I suspect. Seems like there's some information missing from this story that I would like to hear. What caused the altercation? How long was it going before the video started? Somebody said the kid was checking car doors. Someone else said he was pushing women around in the neighborhood. Is that true?
We all know how this game works. Maybe Army guy was a dick or maybe he had serious concerns about this kid.

I love how “you don’t belong here” and the fact that he is a young black man automatically indicates that the sergeant’s intentions are racist instead of objecting to him not actually belonging to the neighborhood and having no purpose there but being up to no good.
This is EXACTLY what I want in my community, someone who’s actually watching out for themselves and their neighbors, real community watch. It’s the great disengaged people who turn a blind eye, don’t want to get involved, and refuse to say anything for fear of being cancelled or whatever that allows bad stuff to happen in their neighborhoods. That remains true in both predominantly white neighborhoods AND predominantly black neighborhoods. Crime happens in neighborhoods because people don’t want to get involved. That’s a fact. It’s why white neighborhoods get hit, and it’s why black neighborhoods get hit, and become prisoners in their own homes.

Maybe both. Could've been pulling on car doors, his friend caught him, this upset her, she gets into an argument with him, leads to an altercation, she tells Army man, the rest is on video

The fact that somebody downvoted this post is sad! We are a country of laws not mob rule which seems like is now justified if somebody screams racism before all the facts are established.
