Want to get philosophical?

Heideggar defined art as the truth of being setting itself to work. In other words, art is the physical manifestation of spiritual reality. Abstract concepts like grace, humility, sacrifice, compassion, forgiveness - they aren't just "represented" concretely but come into being through artful expressions. The artwork IS grace or IS sacrifice but in a tangible form we can actually interact with. It's not just cerebral.

So when I ask - "what does art DO?" - I am looking for how humans interact with it. What does it physically manifest? What are the subsequent actions that follow?

If, for example, this large scale of of Jesus reinforces pride and power as in "Christians are the biggest, baddest religious folk! Not Hindus! Not Islam!" Then I would question if it is an artful expression of JESUS. If it's about wealth and power, then I would question if it's an artful expression of Jesus.

Because in my experience, Christianity is about a quiet, humble relationship with Jesus that leads one to serve the world in ways that reinforce his teachings.

The hypothetical Kenneth Copeland example - the cross is serving as an artful expression of pride and ego. Copeland interacts with the cross in ways that manifest his own pride and ego, which moves him further away from Christ than towards him.

I don't think that Jesus existed at all, but if he did exist, wouldn't this be idolatry?

I didn't post that. I used the quote function to quote another poster.

You can't even quote me accurately.

LMAO! That's all you got? 1 dispute out of 7 examples of your blatant hypocrisy?

You just made my Humpday!

Thanks for humiliating yourself. You did an exemplary job!

So I'm an unstable, mentally challenged poster, right?

You're being a meannie. Are you gonna RA yourself? I guess you never did for the last 6 insults you made to posters.

BY the way, before you get punted, amigo. We're all still waiting for you to respond to the other 6 poster insults you made.

Yes, and this isn't some cheap barb. It's an empirical conclusion based on a sizeable chunk of your post history.

So, you're a coward and a hypocrite, too.

Quit publicly humiliating yourself. I'm almost starting to feel bad for you.

I'm not super religious guy, but that's a bold stance to take. Lots of actual accounts of his existence from inside and outside Christian or Jewish sources.

Now questioning his divinity or miracles? I can empathize with people doing that. Faith isn't always an easy thing.
