I commented early on to your bullshite OP but also what if the woman was scared to pull over right there. You hear about fake cops pulling people over. She could have been trying to get to a more well lit area.

Naw. It was far more considerate of her to find a place where HIS safety would be increased.

I done a few pit maneuvers and as a supervisor allowed them only in situations that we felt the public was in danger.
It something you train train train and train a lot on to keep everyone even yourself from getting hurt. Just too many things can go wrong.
Usually, they are done when the operators of a motor vehicle is using that vehicle to become a danger to society.
Example would be someone committed armed robbery and driving at high speeds in a residential area when schools letting out.
This looks extremely bad especially when someone probably got hurt and it looks like there was no immediate danger to the public.
Until we see all the information from both sides we do not know what caused the officer to get approval to do this.

There are 320 million people in this country. Millions of traffic stops a year. Every cop has a body cam. The media blows up EVERY situation that makes a cop look bad.
You are getting bombarded with only one category of data.

What a crazy action in that situation. When the cop got on my arse I would have pulled over but I’m not sure I wouldn’t have done the same thing she did up until that point. That shoulder is way too tight for anything but an absolute emergency. So unless that woman had just held up a bank, cop needs to be fired.

Cop should be fired.
Cop should be fired.

I defend the police in 95% of these threads.
But that guy needs to be fired and charged with something serious.

She's pregnant. What if he caused a miscarriage. He needs to be held accountable for this.

The impetus for the stop was speeding 14 over by the cops admission. The hwy was empty by the dash cam...

ARKANSAS STATE POLICE WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE STOPPED BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
The steps outlined below provide drivers with basic information of what to do when stopped by a law enforcement officer or when passing a law enforcement officer stopped alongside a roadway to ensure the officer’s safety, the safety of the driver and any passengers.
1. Pull over to the right side of the road – activate your turn signal or emergency flashers to indicate to the officer that you are seeking a safe place to stop.
2. If you are unsure if you are being stopped by an actual police officer, activate your turn signal or emergency flashers and pull to the nearest well-lit location, or dial 9-1-1 and request confirmation that an actual police officer is attempting to stop you.

She should have just pulled over. Interstate was dead and even with a reduced shoulder the cop would be behind her with lights on, drivers are supposed to move over. Cop doesn’t know her intent he just sees a speeding driver keep driving with flashers on.

As someone who despises liberals and anti cop rhetoric....this cop needs to be fired and held financially and criminally responsible for this. This was absolutely uncalled for and reckless. frick him.

It’s clear as day that she intended to get over. He wasn’t chasing her from the scene of a violent crime or knew she had a warrant. He had no reason to believe she was dangerous or poses a threat to anyone else by driving 60 with her flashers on.
Putting your turn signal on indicates you understand and are going to get over. 2 minutes later to do a pit maneuver is insane.
Literally insane.

Was she a threat driving at low speeds with her flashers on?
Does it matter?
