She broke the law.

I am a dog owner. But your pet dying isn't worse than you running over someone's kid while running stop lights and stop signs.

Ehh if the cop had broke the law id be against the cop.

Why do you people love criminals so much?

Seeing you are a pels fan, would you live in New Orleans without a police presence?

You wouldn't? Bootlicker!

Crazy dog lady or a panicked pet owner whose dog was dying? I have to give her a pass considering how negligent drivers are today in general. I remember having to make a mad dash to my vet at 1 a.m. bc my dog was staying for the evening to be monitored. The vet called saying he was dying. I was there within 10 min., as clinic wasn’t far, but it was too late. My shepherd was gone. To this day I still feel guilty I left him yet relieved he wasn’t home to start dying.

Incorrect. Most humans provide nothing to society. Dogs are at least chill and loving.

Did any of you frickwads actually watch the video? It’s a miracle she didn’t.
Mind boggling to trivialize her driving. She almost caused multiple accidents, swerving in front of cars and running them off the road.

Those are people.

The law doesn’t give them a pass. You can’t endanger innocent people to save a loved one, let alone a pet.

Emergency responders are trained to drive quickly and safely. She has no such training and could have killed someone.

What should she have done differently?

When the cop’s lights turn on, you pull over as soon as reasonably possible. The lady kept driving for minutes before finally stopping, nearly causing accidents in the process. Besides that, the cop talked to the older lady at the end, trying to get the dog help.

The cop did everything reasonably possible. I don’t get the anger towards her.

I doubt she cares about any of that. She just did what she had to do. No time for worrying about following all the rules closely to the letter of the law.

I agree. She was clearly distraught, and I feel terrible for her. I just think people are too critical of the cop.

I've said it before, cops have this ultimate and fantastic tool at their disposal called discretion. It allows them to makes educated decisions based on their assessment of the situation.

This old lady was clearly in distress and again, write her 50 tickets. Her intent clearly wasn't to evade and run. She was freaking out about her dying dog.

Being an unsympathetic a-hole just because you have a badge isn't the way.

That woman didn't get out disrespecting the cop, being an a-hole,etc. If she had, cuff her arse.

Felony evading? That's straight bs and I would ban bet those charges will be dismissed.

She was a menace to society by ignoring a red light. She easily could have killed a bunch of kids.

A ticket???

She would have caused a deadly head on collision if that pickup didnt go off the road.

The cop didnt seem to be power tripping at all. She stayed calm the whole time. Even was ok with the passenger leaving after a high speed pursuit.

By running unsuspecting people off the road?

Kyren Lacy an LSU athlete did the same thing, and a guy ended up dead. She has no excuses, and gets no sympathy

This lady is a terrible dog owner. She lets the dog get hit by a car, then travels to a vet that's not even open, then nearly causes wrecks and won't stop for police . All this to hopefully gain about 2 minutes of time which wasn't going to save the dog anyway. What's amazing is the amount of bleeding hearts out there that think the lady was owed "compassion", and that the rookie female officer should be fired. It's safe to assume the lady doesn't have any common sense and panicked, but the officer doesn't know the full story during the pursuit and scuffle and owes no compassion just b/c she hears a story of a dying dog.

the dog died, likely due to the delay

The old lady carried the dog to the door...no one was there. She then carried the dog back to the car and sat in it.

That dog was already dead.
