I noticed several on FB give their goodbyes saying you can find them on Parler now. Well guess what, they are all still on FB.

Didn’t Apple, Twitter, and Amazon collude to shut Parler down? Hard to use a social media site that isn’t around, even temporarily.

I think the point was they never left Facebook.
Posted on 1/14/21 at 6:15 am to member12
I think that's the point. MAGA never left any of them. Hence, pancakes.

I never use Facebook for friends. I pretty much unfriended or muted individuals. I use it for all of the groups I follow. Camping, fixing things and selling things.
Bingo!
Of the 500 or so friends I have on fb maybe only 20 or 30 of them are not unfollowed. I really don't care about your kids or your opinions and I don't expect you to care about mine.
The only reason I still have Facebook is because I haven't found a better way to follow all the bands, brands, camping, and 4x4 groups that I enjoy

Browsing FB is a very addicting activity for most people. Humans have a bad record with cutting out addictions.

A society that has devolved to the point where it’s okay for grown men to use Facebook is a problem. There are certain things that are meant for women, like the big iPhones, and Facebook is one of those things.

Precisely. It's Pavlov's Dog now. "Friends" are acquired by thumbs up. Pretty sad

What’s funny is the most active friends on my Facebook are retired boomer men sharing Fox News articles and political memes all day.

I never minded all that. I joined to keep up with old friends and family, and a lot of family in Guatemala. Last 5-6 years it turned into where 75% of people I was friends with on there completely stopped posting and rest was all politics. I’d rather go back to pics of food and family or vacations, was much better. That and people simply joking around with each all the time, most of that seems to have stopped from what I see. It became way too serious for me.
Now I never posted pics of food, but especially if it was say, traveling out of country pic of food at a restaurant, I enjoyed seeing those

Most of my close friends realize that nobody in real life gives a shite about their crackpot political opinions, they usually just post family, hobby, and hunting stuff. I keep a few loons on my friends list who can't help but broadcast an opinion about any and every newsmax or cnn article they come across. I keep facebook around for the food groups and such.

So hot. Totally turned on

I’ll bet $100 those weren’t barnacle pancakes.

It does feel like this is accurate for me. Wish people would go back to posting and there could be boards to click on similar to td. Could have politics, o-t, sports, etc.
That way i could easily avoid the politics when i want to

Haven't been on them in years. I got off not for political reasons, but because I found myself checking it for no damned reason.
Now I will just search a restaurant's Facebook and see what specials they have.

Don't have, never had, will not have Twitter or any of the other insta apps. HAD Facebook, deleted account and no big loss, didn't spend much time on it anyway.

I don't have a FB.
I know 1 single person that has a twitter.
Nobody else uses it. I have a very old account that I created towards 2013. I never use it.

I really don't want to say this BUT, if you are on facebook or twitter now you are absolutely unAmerican. THey're against everything the Constitution stands for now.
