Are you satisfied with the current status quo of law-enforcement in this country?

Not talking about treatment of blacks, or minorities versus white. So hopefully this won’t be about race. Not talking about looters or riots. If you’re not satisfied what do you think needs to be changed?

Speed traps are bullshite. Asset forfeiture is bullshite.

I think that Law Enforcement Officers should concentrate more on unlicensed Gelato marketers.
That’s probably how this Corona flu thing started and spread.

The police in this country have a major culture problem. There are many solid cops, but their general attitude toward the public has deteriorated and they act in much more hostile and aggressive fashion than we require.
The level of paramilitary outfitting is outlandish, and it’s rampant use more so. The standard of no-knock raids, the ease with which warrants are granted, and decriminalization of narcotics—all things that can be easily cleaned up to improve the situation.

No. My issues with law enforcement are extensive. They are glorified tax collectors in many rural areas between civil asset forfeiture and speed traps, and many of them are only in law enforcement because they didn’t have better options on the table and are not well versed in the law. This doesn’t even go into the issues of police brutality, which are real.

Personally, I mainly want them to enforce the speed limit. Mother frickers fly tru Baton Rouge and the po po don't do shite. I'm about to take the law into my own hands.

Asset forfeiture is such a fricking crock of shite. You can thank this drug war bullshite for that problem too.

If you don't back the blue 100% of the time then that means you like black people

I don't disagree with the general sentiment of civil asset forfeiture, speed traps, Rona enforcement, etc... but those orders are coming from politicians. I don't think that most cops are interested in those policies.

They are still inept at catching me destroying the speed limit, so I’m all good. Keep hiring high school drop outs.

Fix police unions so that its easier to get rid of cops with a long history of valid complaints against them.

No. F the police for about 80% of what they do.

Any science behind that percentage?

I don’t have a problem with it. I have never been killed by a cop.

Always found the best rule of thumb about police was Dylan's line.
"The cops don't need you, and man they expect the same."
That is not meant as a put down. It is the best it can be.
When you dump law enforcement in favor of social workers and community policing, you will find you have a lot more attention from the government in your life than you ever wanted. And without the defined circumstances of an arrestable offense. Or an attorney. Or a jury.
