Proud to be an American and thankful all my immigrant Irish and Syrian ancestors were allowed to land here. Not so proud of a lot of current Americans though who are never thankful, always finding fault, lazy, and many who are not tolerant. But if you light your arse here and claim to be an American, by God be an American.

HELL YES... even with all of our faults, we are still the greatest country on earth.

I'm just the opposite of Michelle Obama....the last couple of years I'm not proud to be an American and it's largely her husband's fault.

No. I'm grateful to be one though. It is far and away the best place on the planet

Honestly I'm glad I'm an American. I recognize that I'm lucky to have been born here.

I'm not sure it I'm proud of everything my country has done and certainly not proud of what we are doing now.

America is like Bruce Jenner. So much to be proud of it's past but then something went terribly wrong!! I liked America before it had a sex change.

I think being proud of something that is out of your control is just lame.

You just go and lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steelers' fan and I think you're gonna finally understand.

Damn right I am. Too bad it seems more like European socialism in our future.

Very much so. I love America. We have some shitty people here but it's still the greatest country on earth. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
I've seen some very shitty countries. We have it really good here.
I tear up every time I hear the National Anthem. I guess you could call that pride.
