Im supposed to go to NOLA for Jazz Fest weekend of the 25th, havent cancelled but I havent gotten my plane tickets yet either. If they cancel the festival then I wont go but otherwise Ill snag some cheap airfare and see the who with less people around, seems like a win-win but I expect them to cancel Jazzfest like they have already done with other music festivals.

Your comparison is meaningless until we get a better handle on the infection rate etc.
I am not not taking away anything from this virus but the panic that is coming with it is just not justified. I just do not see why people are freaking out about this virus but at the same time refuse to get a flu shot to combat a virus that is obviously 10x's worse?

That is a sign of one of two things:
1. The spread is progressing slow enough to where we can manage it, although it may pick up speed, or
2. It is actually being well-managed.
There have been 22 deaths and the virus has been here prior to Italy’s start, and they are getting rocked.
In Scruffy’s opinion, this is a sign that we are managing it from a medical standpoint fairly well, at least at this point.
Trying to shame people by using the dead is unbecoming.

We don't know how well we are managing it because testing is so limited.
Any numbers are basically useless right now until we ramp up testing. There could be people dying from this we don't even know about.

My wife told my kids they can't go to the St Patrick's day parade this weekend. She wants me to take them fishing instead. I emphatically said OKAY. I told her I'm still going golfing Sunday. She agreed. Best weekend ever!!!

We also have a cruise planned in June. She is already questioning that. I told her I don't care if I'm the only person on the boat I'm going. You can reschedule for next year. Screw that. Everything will be super packed next year.

Yes, not because I wanted to but because the US Army is being extra cautious. We were supposed to attend my son's basic taining graduation but we just found out that the commanding general has implemented policy changes to the normal activities. I am monitoring the webpages to see if anything changes but it is not looking good right now.

Open air golf course. Not the same as a gym where you breathe each others air for hours. I'd be shocked if they don't let spectators in.
