GF works in mainly covid infected floors. Two of my grandfather's older hunting members have passed.

It's made me consider, life is short. I almost called the clerk of court, JOP, and took her down to the court house to marry me the other day.

She doesn't know that.

Yes, but not in a business sense.

I know quite a few in business that are being affected in a very negative way.

I assume you are a business owner. Do you know other owners that are affected, outside of your industry?

Yeah they really do a good job. It would be hard to be an admin and not frick with people. I would definitely abuse my power if I were an admin.

Watch out for all that feel good in the moment shite. I almost did that after katrina, and I'd have ended on a Louisiana episode of some ID network show, sitting in jail with a smile.

Wife and sister both working C-19 ICU unit. Sister was exposed early on and just getting over it. Her daughter contracted it, as did her 4yo son. All doing well. Nieces husband didn’t get it while living with both of them to our knowledge. BIL and nephew haven’t gotten it either while living with sister.

Still listed as essential, but I skip couple days of entering plant after wife works and keep my distance from others when I go in. Biggest scare has been potential exposure when she worked “clean” unit. Rather her stay suited out all day than work in reduced ppe.

Other than that, sucked having to lay-off good people when you know there’s nowhere for them to go, ready to get back to normal.

Mom, early 60s, has it. Seems to be doing ok 6 days in. Like a bad flu.
Friends grandmother had it and passed yesterday.
I work for a large service based Corp. Had a 20%+ reduction in workforce nation wide. I survived the first round and hoping there isn’t another.

I felt bad letting the cleaning company go, but dang, nobody's in the office.

So far, no employee or contractor layoffs.

This whole thing sucks...

Hell cleaning company is making bank off of us, they getting more OT than the operators and they are sequestered.

When we get first case, that clean up crew is going to get paid coin.

I own some fast food restaurants and my sales are down about 30% due to being drive-thru only. I can still operate without losing money or laying employees off. I’ve just accepted the fact that I’m not going to make any money for a few months...and that’s fine. Fortunately, I own all the properties and have no business debt otherwise I’d be freaking out right now.

Some of my employees probably wish I’d shut down so they could get some of that $800/wk unemployment

With the courts shut down most of my work is in a holding pattern and my wife is seeing almost no patients in the office and doing basically no surgeries. The only thing she is doing in the OR is emergency heart surgeries which in today's world are few and far between since it is so easy to stabilize most patients via meds. Both of our practices will have huge pent up demand once things begin to roll again. My firm is paying full 40 hour weeks and salaries for all our employees, we told them when they get back expect to work their arse off. We told them we will reevaluate after 4 weeks but have already decided we are good for 90 days.

Financially -- NO

Mentally -- YES

Good friend positive and was never in hospital or on the meds but um, his fingers were blue-ish. He's better but said he wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Resident in the ltc where I work is positive -- sweet little person, <100#, on day 3 of meds and ** 6 ** liters of oxygen.

I wouldn't ban anyone. I would do it temporarily to frick with people, but I wouldn't ban people unless they really did something against the rules.. Like post porn or extreme racist shite.

Probably but shame on people who look a gift horse in the mouth. Good luck with the business.
