God that sounds miserable.

It must be hard for her, being surrounded by pussies at family gatherings.

I’ve learned that if a person has a specific point of view or opinion the discussion only enforces their position or opinion
So it’s basically a waste of time.

The only 2 libtards in my family are 2 brother-in-laws.They’re not allowed in my house. Therefore my sister doesn’t come either.
Extreme on my part, maybe but marriages have consequences.
I tolerated them before and was civil but when Laken Riley and the other girls and women were murdered and raped by illegals I got severely pissed off.
They voted for Biden,I consider them complicit.

The only time we have family gatherings are around holidays and we are a pretty civilized family, so not much is said to be offensive. Then again, we don’t get drunk at holiday gatherings either. Family drama typically comes along with family drunkenness, in my experience.

If you feel the need to call out people at a family gathering, you need to stay away. Having a chip on your shoulder and looking for a fight is not the right attitude.

I say whatever I want at my own family gatherings. They'll get pissed but not violent/irrational/vindictive.

Not so much when with the wife's family, though. If you disagree with my mother-in-law's political positions (mostly her complete adoration of/for all things Trump), even when you express a rational reason to disagree on a particular policy position, she becomes irate and flys into a rage. It would be funny to provoke her, but she carries a grudge about any infraction for years.

Yes, I state my opinions very loudly at any time that I deem necessary. I was raised this way. I guess one of the reasons that this works is that everyone in my family is deaf.

My sister is the only oddball at our family gatherings. When she is down visiting, I'll throw some jabs throughout the day. After she has had multiple drinks she'll usually have a meltdown.

OR we are adults and bite our tongues because it's a lose-lose situation. I don't want to lose a family member over petty politics. I only see her four times a year so I act like an adult. We do things we don't like all the time for the betterment of civility. You should try it instead of acting like a child.
